Hi everyone! This is Jill. I work with Uma on the blog and other projects in the studio. Our display window is now decked out for Halloween! The goal was to incorporate a color palette of green, gold and black and to keep the feeling both whimsical and elegant, to please guests of all ages. Layer different fabrics such as a linen tablecloth and netting for added texture instead of a traditional runner. Make a centerpiece by staggering old wine bottles with tapered candles down the center of the table. The metallic flatware and gold pumpkins add a touch of elegance, while the bat placecards and feathers keep the table feeling young and fun.
The soft glow of the candles is perfectly spooky and beautiful.
Every table needs fresh flowers! For an added elegant touch we put these gorgeous dahlias and berry branches in an antique gold votive. Each place setting is adorned with a place card made of a black bat pinned into a gold pumpkin. Don’t worry if you can’t find these in the stores because you can make it yourself! Simply spray paint a small pumpkin gold, cut out a bat pattern from cardstock and attach it to a pin that you can stick in your pumpkin. To add in some additional color we wrapped faux feathers around a napkin and laid them on top of bronze-rimmed plates.
This entire table setting was easy to put together and sourced entirely from Pier 1, Michael’s, and the local florist! Hope this inspires you to create your own!
