Super Bowl Sunday generally entails cold brews and a pitcher of margaritas. It seems inevitable that there is a cocktail that combines them both, right? We mixed up the ingredients pictured here based on this recipe. In my quest for drinks that are not so sweet, I have to say that I rather liked it.
This beer cocktail will pair excellently with classic Super Bowl foods like nachos, beer nuts, and seven layer dip. Serve two hours before kick-off if you want to catch the sun glowing through the amber like this. Enjoy responsibly!

I’m planning a few small projects at home. It seems fitting to always start with the foyer, no? It’s about setting the stage for all to come. De Gournay inspired wallpapers combined with graphic rugs and classic furnishings are calling to me. Here are some elements below if you want to get in on the action.

Here’s a palette that I’ve been drawn to lately. I love how the deep, rich hue is off-set by a bevy of neutrals and metallic touches. When a color is this powerful it can be overkill to try pairing it with another color. Take a note from Kate Moss, and all these images, that a rich Prussian Blue is a stand alone color. The top interior pic is by designer Stephen Sills, as featured in Architectural Digest. I’ve been studying Sills work and will be sharing more soon. Are you a fan of this rich blue?

Sitting indoors and contemplating the snow is only fun for a day or two. After that you do need to still find a way to doll up and get out. Taking inspiration from this look from Dior’s pre-fall 2014 showing, I want to layer cropped sweaters over long-floaty blouses and full skirts. Adding some neck warmth and snow-ready boots will keep you weather appropriate, while you stay way on top of the style curve as well. What do you think? Are you going to be embracing the trend towards midi-skirts?

The snow piling up outside has become all too familiar scenery hear in NJ. I have a great view of it from our family room which was probably an indoor-outdoor room at some time.
I’m still working on decorating but I thought I’d give a sneak peek. I definitely am trying to embrace that porch vibe with casual furnishings and a slightly more bohemian look. Once I find a rug and coffee table I’ll share more pics.
